How to Decide Whether to Add Your Photo as your Profile Picture

Have you ever noticed how your opinion changes of someone who you have got to know a bit, either online or on the phone, and then when you see a photo of them or meet them in person they don’t fit the image you had of them?  It is totally ridiculous but our brain forms not a picture as such but a person who seems to fit into a particular category and so when we actually see the person it most often comes as a complete surprise and our brain cannot accept them as the person we knew.  It is much more dramatic than seeing someone who you previously knew years ago who had changed a lot with a different hairstyle, maybe a beard and who now wears glasses and has put on weight.  The brain still accepts that person as a different version of the one we already know.

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

As you know I used to run an Entertainment Booking Agency with a partner and I particularly noticed how much a photo changed perspectives when working there.  There was never a problem with the acts as of course we usually had publicity photos of those.  It was with the customers that I noticed it really.  We built some very close working relationships with some of the distance customers so we got to know them really well before we actually met them and in some cases it seemed really strange when we met as they were nothing like we expected them to look like (and most likely vice versa as well).  Sometimes the dynamics of the relationship changed after that initial meeting as well.  Often I presume just because the personal side of now knowing what the other person looked like affected the attitude of those involved.

I sometimes found the other person a bit too intense after the initial meeting if they were male.  There is no getting away from the fact that a young woman can get a lot more attention and work than an older woman or a male.  We arranged a lot of military functions and I can only say that it worked to my advantage being a youngish female as phone calls were always returned and they made time for meetings.  Once we decided to put up a website and added our photos for the personal touch we found nearly everyone who rang in asked to speak to me and not my male partner in the agency.  That included women – women like to speak to other women, and males …. well males like to speak to women too, but for different reasons.

I have noticed that although I decided I wanted to come out of the agency my ex partner has not changed the website at all and my photo is still on there.  I guess he thought it would be best for business and I have no problem with it still being on there as I am a rather laid-back soul and if it helps his business then I don’t mind.  I do wonder how it helps though, as apart from any new business, everyone else must know I am not there any more as it has been several years ago now since I left and they must just think the website is way out of date.  It probably just costs him too much to have it updated and to have my photo removed as he now just runs the agency in a smaller way on his own and the website hasn’t changed since I left.

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

So there are several reasons I didn’t really want my photo to be on my sites, one of which is the reason I have mentioned, but also for several others as well.  I think there is a danger that stalkers can get too much information about you these days on these sites and not having a photo is quite a good prevention for this at the start.

Another reason is that I just hate having my photo taken – I must be one of these unphotogenic types.  There are very few photos I ever like of me and most of the photos before digital ones came in ended up in the bin.  I don’t look in photos the same as I look in the mirror (even though you are seeing a mirrored image to what everyone else sees) but other people have also said that I don’t look the same as I have come out in the photo.  The one I have used is one of the few that actually looks like me.

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

Which brings me nicely to another point - the photo that is on someone’s profile may not actually be of the person at all.  It could be a photo of someone else entirely or a very old picture of the person.  So having an avatar on there instead is not a valid reason not to follow someone on sites like Google+, Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter or the bookmarking sites either.  Checking out their profile, their followers (not the ones they are following) and their posts (checking they are not all shared posts) is a much better indicator of the person.

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

If you are a good looking male or female you are likely to get a lot of followers for the wrong reason (unless of course you are on there to meet a partner in the first place).  But then you also have to risk once again that the other persons photo is really of them and not their good looking friend.

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

However, I have succumbed and added a photo of me purely so that the people who are following me can put a face to the name BUT I am just going to keep it on my profile page rather than use it as my main picture.  So my Pendant-Heaven avatar will be the one that people see all the time as it is consistent with the avatar on all my other sites too.

I do understand that some people have not followed me at all because I didn’t have my photo on my profile but then again are they the sort of  people I really wanted to follow me if they are that shallow that they only go by a photo rather than my posts or my profile information?

I also freely admit that it is subliminal possible advertising for my handmade jewellery, but then a girl has got to make some money somehow and the tiny reminder that I make pendants is there every time someone sees one of my posts.  They may not buy anything but at least they know I actually make the jewellery and will know where to look if they want something for a present if not for themselves.  If I didn’t use my Pendant-Heaven avatar they may remember that one of the people they are following makes jewellery but don’t remember who, although I must admit that the fact that I add one item to my ArtFire site each day and then post about it on the sites is a big clue.

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

So at the end of the day it may well come down to whether you yourself are happy to put on your photo as your profile picture or not.  In most cases it would be perfectly fine but if you are a young female it is best to put a bit more thought into it as you may attract the wrong type of follower.

Todays trivia snippet:

Why do people run over a string a dozen times with their vacuum cleaner, then reach down, pick it up, examine it, then put it down to give the vacuum one more chance?

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

And here is todays chuckle:

A man went to church one day and afterward he stopped to shake the preacher's hand.
He said, 'Preacher, I'll tell you, that was a damned fine sermon. Damned good!'
The preacher said, 'Thank you sir, but I'd rather you didn't use profanity.'
The man said, 'I was so damned impressed with that sermon I put five thousand dollars in the offering plate!'

The preacher said, 'No sh-t?'

I am afraid I don’t know who this is to give them the credit but I saw it publicly on Google+ a while ago and it seemed fitting to use on this blog.

How to Delete a Wrong Entry in Google Chrome's Autofill and the rest of my day

Well I had a very frustrating but a very successful day yesterday.  I managed to finally work out how to delete the stupid mistakes I had made with my login details when logging into websites.  Unless you have Google Chrome you wont realise what I am talking about – but it has this brilliant feature that stores your logins, address etc. so that you can put in a few letters and it fills in the rest for you – not passwords of course).  So instead of having to type in your whole email address you only have to type in the 1st letter and a blue box comes up with your email address for you to click into so with 2 clicks you are done. But you know how your fingers run away with you on the keyboard and you mistakenly add the password to your login or your put the first letter and then thinking you had clicked into the blue autofill choice you click the return button so you have a one letter or a couple of letters now as an alternative choice to login.  Of course these are saved for all to see so I needed to do something about it.  Well I have been looking for ages on the Google Chrome help site and all the other help sites online and I found loads of people had the same problem and there were a number of solutions but the ones that worked were for a Mac and not for a PC.  Well in the end I tried some more things myself and found the solution, for me anyway,y as it has cleared my extra bits that I didn’t want.  So if you are on Google Chrome and have the same problem this worked for me so I have posted it here and hopefully anyone else searching for the answer will find it.  I did also put my solution on the help sites I had been looking at, the ones that didn’t need me to register just to leave the answer.

How to Delete a Wrong Entry in Google’s Autofill

On a PC use this to delete any entries added in error (i.e. wrong email address or a missing letter etc.) and if you put your password in by mistake. Or even those one letter entries that saved when you clicked them without looking.

To delete an entry type enough letters in the box to bring up the one you want to delete so that it shows up blue under the box (as if ready to load) then click Ctrl+Delete.

The other thing I managed to do was sort out a problem on my ArtFire website shop where my pendants were not automatically listing to the Google search engine since a new thing had kicked in.  It was all to do with variants being listed but of course I haven’t got any variants in other colours etc. as my pendants are all one-off unique ones.  I finally had so many failed listings that I decided to sort it out myself as I didn’t seem to be getting any help again – why is it that help sections never have answers to your particular problem or it they do then it is invariably something you have already tried.  Well I finally worked out that the ones which had failed (which were ok before) had their automatic colour as # or the code for black (I can’t remember what that was now).  The others may have the same erratic colours but I was only concerned about the ones that weren’t showing up on the search engines.  So I went through all the problem ones and changed the automatic colour to something similar to the gemstone colour on the pendant and hey presto they worked.  I am sure they would have probably worked whatever colour I put in as it was at least a different colour but I did my best and tried to match the pendant to the colour chart.  This took me ages and was very annoying as I had more important things to do like improving my earlier photos of pendants on there.

So it was a trying day but rewarding in the end because at least I could finish what I started and to me that is important otherwise it would have been a complete waste of a day.

I don’t know what the weather is like where you are but it has been really mild and sunny here for the last 3 days so we are actually having a late summer.  In the real summer we were having to put jackets on to walk the dogs in the evenings and yet for the last few nights we have been walking them in t-shirts!  In fact last week we nearly put the heating on in the evenings and now we are back to summer weather and saying how muggy it is!

Here’s todays snippet of interest:

A cat's urine glows under a black light.

(I wish I had known that when I was trying to find out where the blessed cat had peed on the carpet – although not sure what a black light is or where I could get one).  Look at him - "butter wouldn't melt in his mouth" as they say.

And here’s a little chuckle:

ROMANCE
An elderly couple were lying in bed one night. The husband was falling asleep but the wife was in a romantic mood and wanted to talk.
She said: "You used to hold my hand when we were courting."
Wearily he reached across, held her hand for a second and tried to get back to sleep.
A few moments later she said: "Then you used to kiss me."
Mildly irritated, he reached across, gave her a peck on the cheek and settled down to sleep.
Thirty seconds later she said: "Then you used to bite my neck."
Angrily, he threw back the bed clothes and got out of bed.
"Where are you going?" she asked.
"To get my teeth!"

Privacy Issues on Facebook and Stalker Problems

This blog is only my opinion and my thoughts but as far as I can see Facebook have handed it on a plate to all possible stalkers.

-~-o~~0~~o-~-

Stalkers can now see every single thing their victim does on there.  Every single Like, every single comment, who they befriend (I know they could see that bit before but now they can see it in real time).

-~-o~~0~~o-~-

There are posts going round asking by lots of people asking everyone to un-tick their “Likes and Comments” because they don’t want everyone to see their every move and rightly so but it is up to all their friends to do that.  I know I have done that with all my friends and it has thankfully slowed my Ticker right down and now I only really see what the pages I have Liked have recently added, instead of the very fast flow of all my friends every comment and Like as well as their posts.

-~-o~~0~~o-~-

I know we all have the choice of who we befriend but how many times do you hear of a stalker being in the peripherals of your friends so you could easily be “friends” with a possible stalker without realising it.  So many of us have huge amounts of friends on Facebook and we certainly don’t know all of them well as they are often just Facebook friends that we wouldn’t even know if we passed them in the street.  It must be paradise for a stalker if they can see everywhere you are going, what you are going to be wearing, all your thoughts you tell friends, all your photos, all the things you like and your tastes in everything, all your moans and all your tittle-tattle.  Unless these are done in Private Messages they are there for all to see.   It makes it very easy for a possible stalker to slide into your life without you realising as they could pretend to like all the things you like.  It is just putting it all there in front of them for them to be able to use and abuse.  Instead of allowing your friends to un-tick your “Likes and Comments” they should make it that you yourself tick them if you are happy for others to see them.  I doubt in anyone would tick them.  It seems they are trying to make the new Facebook a totally “Open Book”.

-~-o~~0~~o-~-

I think this leaves a huge hole in the privacy issue and this doesn’t even touch on the facts that are now coming to light, according to all the social media experts, that Facebook now tracks all our website moves outside of Facebook as well, whether we are logged into Facebook or not.  They know that most of us stay logged on to Facebook all day as we all suffer from FOMO (Fear of Missing Out) and even if not, we are on other sites so wouldn’t erase our cookies after leaving Facebook until we turn the computer off, which some people never ever do anyway.  They are saying that they are not selling this information but why would they track all our moves otherwise?  It seems a lot of wasted resources if they don’t intend to do anything with the information they are gathering.  I would like to think they are putting it to good use in filtering out paedophiles or terrorists etc.  with some suitable algorithm but I am sure if there was a way to do that then it wouldn’t be Facebook needing to do it but some security agency.  This seems a rather “Big Brother” issue to me (and I don’t mean the TV programme)!  This is seriously infringing on our privacy.  I read recently about “Don’t write anything you wouldn’t want read out in court” and adding “Don’t go to any sites you wouldn’t want to be shown in court” or something similar.  I think they should also add “Don’t make any comments you wouldn’t say to a whole room full of your friends and enemies”.  I guess we should always weigh up if what we want to say should be in a Private Message or should we just go back to emails instead?

Just remember BIG BROTHER IS WATCHING so be very very careful what you say and to whom as it is all logged down and may come back to bite you!

Please let me know your thoughts on this.

Todays snippet of trivia:

111,111,111     x     111,111,111   =   12,345,678,987, 654,321

And todays chuckle:

OLD FRIENDS
Two elderly ladies had been friends for many decades.
Over the years, they had shared all kinds of activities and adventures.
Lately, their activities had been limited to meeting a few times a week to play cards.
One day, they were playing cards when one looked at the other and said, "Now don't get mad at me... I know we've been friends for a long time but I just can't think of your name.. I've thought and thought, but I can't remember it. Please tell me what your name is."
Her friend glared at her.
For at least three minutes she just stared and glared at her.
Finally she said, "How soon do you need to know?"

Adding Extra Things to a Blog Design

It shows how silly I am – I thought the Labels I had to add on the blogs were like meta tags and I had such a long list showing down the side of my blog it was ridiculous so I have spent some time sorting them out into less sections (why don't they call them that ???) so it is easier for anyone to find them under subjects.  As I just write a lot about my life in general I could only think of “me and my life” to cover that group which will probably end up quite large as I think my readers are probably more interested in general meanderings rather than continual blogs about how I made this pendant and how to bead a bracelet.  I am still adding things and rearranging the side of my blog too, until I have it just how I want it.  It is nearly there but there are a few other things I may add as it is always nice to see things right down the side when you are reading down more than one blog rather than it just going blank.  At this stage though I definitely don’t want to add any adverts (I probably never will) and most definitely not any of those annoying flashing images that distract you.  I want my blog to be fun to read and each blog to give multiple things to read as well like the trivia and joke bits at the end.  If you have ever seen anything on the side of other people’s blogs that was particularly interesting then please do let me know and I can see if I can add it to mine too.  I am still looking out for a bank of buttons to have the choices of forwarding my blog too, rather than the patch of buttons I have.  It would be nice to get a strip or bank of them that are easy to click so that you can all share my blog, in the hope that I get more followers.  They don’t have to read all my blogs but they can at least follow them so they have the choice.

As much as I say it myself I am getting a dab hand at finding ways to get things on the side and bottom of my blog though.  LOL – I am spending more time doing that recently than writing my actual blog or making my jewellery.  I want to get it right though.  It’s funny how much you learn though in a short space of time if you put your mind to it.   I am a bit of a ferret when I get going, trying to find things and how to add them.  It’s fun but also very frustrating sometimes.  I like the rewarding bit when something I have added actually works.  I have made most of my buttons actually work down the side rather than just sit there so I am pleased with that.

I have spent a lot of time recently going to other peoples blogs to get information about how to do my blog – you know all the buttons and extras they put on their blogs as I wanted my blog to look interesting.  The must frustrating thing I found, even with the really good SEO blogs and Media blogs is HOW TO FOLLOW THEM!  If I have found their blog interesting I want to be able to see their future blogs and maybe even go back to see another older blog but I spend ages sometimes searching up and down trying to find a way to follow them, other than by email or RSS.  I want to be able to follow them on Google+ preferably, or if not on Facebook as they never ever use Google Friend Connect or Networked Blogs.  Obviously when you get to a certain stage in blogging and have “Your Own” blog site then you expect people to follow you with RSS.  But some of us novices would like to follow them too so please give us the basic follow buttons.  I suppose I could follow by email but I never like giving out my email to these types of sites as you tend to get inundated with requests to buy things, go to places etc. etc. so I would rather play it safe and just be able to follow their new blogs when they are posted via Google+ or Facebook.  With all the tips they give you on how to do things you would think that anyone too much “in the know” wouldn’t really need them so aiming at the “need to know” market would mean we novices need to follow in the basic ways like Google+ or Facebook.  Unless they feel we would only visit the once so wouldn’t want or need to follow them.  They have whole banks of buttons to share their information to others via our connections on Facebook, Twitter, Google+, bookmarking sites etc. so why not use another bank of buttons for us to follow them???

Autumn has definitely seemed to settle here in our part of England as the evenings are getting chillier and we have toyed with the idea of putting the heating on a few times but can’t quite bring ourselves to put it on yet J  So we have put more clothes on instead.  The annoying thing is that our lounge seems to be quite cool (which is great in Summer) so when I come out of the office upstairs or the kitchen to go and sit and watch television for a while then it feels very cold as the computer in the office or cooking in the kitchen keeps it warm.

One good thing about Autumn is that some decent television programmes come back on and some new ones start.  Doc Martin is a favourite one of mine that has come back on now and a good new one has started called The Body Farm which is good.  I remember reading a book about a Body Farm which was either Patricia Cornwell or Minnette Walters which are both favourite authors of mine.

Time for the trivia snippet:

The strongest muscle in the body is the tongue.

And a chuckle to finish on:

An elderly man is stopped by the police around 1 a.m. and is asked where he is going at this time of night.
The man replies, "I am going to a lecture about alcohol abuse and the effects it has on the human body."
The officer then asks, "Really? Who is giving that lecture at this time of night?"
The man replies, "That would be my wife."

Missing summer, promoting items

Here is a little riddle for you – answer at the end.

It’s another typical English summer day – tempting me with patches of blue sky but haunting me with white fluffy clouds.  As I sit here in the office with the blinds slanting because the light gets on the computer I notice that it is bright and sunny outside, so I make a conscious effort to think that as soon as I have finished this I will go and sit outside with a coffee (or a lolly) and a magazine so that I don’t miss the few sunny days we get here in the UK.  But what happens! – as soon as I finish what I am doing and finally get downstairs and out to the garden – yes, you have it – the clouds have come over again and the breeze is too cold to want to stay outside.  So up I go with my coffee and spend another day in the office trying to make sure I have covered most of the bases in how to sell my pendants on ArtFire, instead of ebay who are eating up my profit in fees + more.  It seems stupid to keep paying so much to ebay but I need to as that is where I am selling the most pendants at the moment.  I obviously jump at the chance when it is free listing weekends (like this one just gone) but at other times the relisting fees for the ones that didn’t sell use up all the profit of the ones that did sell.

I am just keeping my fingers crossed that my ArtFire studio takes off and I can drop the whole ebay scenario.  But to do that I need to make sure that I am “crossing all my T’s and dotting all my I’s” as they say with all this social media stuff.  So I am trying to get used to remembering to promote all my newly listed items on Facebook, Twitter, Google+ etc. as well as using all the Bookmarking sites which all seem weird and strange in how they all work differently.  I have now got the hang of StumbleUpon but although I use Kaboodle and Digg I am not quite sure how they work.  And as for Pinterest , +1 and Delicious, I have no idea if they work or if anyone can actually even see my additions to there (or maybe I am totally wasting my time with them).  I only wish I knew.

All the articles I have read say to engage your customers – well, I have tried.  I have asked them to let me know which type of photos they preferred – on a contrasting background or just with no background at all – I only got 2 responses – 2 for plain and 3 for background (and one of those responses came from a close friend).  I had one pendant that had well over 600 viewings whereas the next highest was just under 300 viewings so asked if anyone had any ideas why that happenend – not that I was expecting much response to that question but the only answers I got were from 2 friends.  I asked about the new layout on ArtFire as well but no response again.  I wanted to ask about peoples preferences as to whether they preferred the more beaded necklaces that I used to make or the ones that seem to be more popular now which are the plain ones with just a singe drop gemstone.  I feel this is cheating as a jewellery-maker but you have to go with the flow and that seems to be the current trend.  But as everyone has different ideas on what they like anyway I will gradually add some more beaded items now I have my studio so they can sit there to see if they sell.  I will add some earring and bracelets occasionally again now as well now I have over 160 pendants listed on there.

Here’s your answer to the riddle:
The last person took the basket with the egg in it.

Why NOT to add too many friends or Like too many pages too quickly on Facebook…

I said yesterday about my ban from adding too many friends.  One of my recent blunders! Well apparently even though I thought Facebook was originally started as a friendship site to connect with all your long-lost friends, you obviously have to find them very slowly or you get into trouble.  So although though they put all these possible friends names in front of you who you may know, apparently you are only meant to click on a few at a time – as I found out to my cost.  When I joined Facebook I obviously added all my family and close friends and then being a bear collector, as I have said, I joined a couple of very active bear collecting groups that I had already known about and so when all these familiar names came up from the groups I was clicking into them willy nilly to add as friends.  Well, the next thing I knew there was a Facebook message come up that said I was asking too many friends and they had banned me from asking any more as they treated it as spam.  Why do they not give you instructions when you join that you can only invite X amount of friends each day or something similar.

The same thing happens for Liking peoples business pages – I have also had a ban for that.  I did see a warning come up about that but it came up just as I had already Liked their page and I had left the message so was about to click Return.  So I thought I had better not Like any more that day and just clicked Return to finish what I had done.  WRONG THING TO DO.  I was banned from Liking people, from sending messages and from my wall (or anyone else’s wall) for a day or so.  I could add to wall posts already started but not leave my @pendant-heaven bit.  It didn’t affect my business page but not being able to write on my wall or to be able to message anyone was quite annoying as some people thought I was ignoring them when I wasn’t really.  But once again, why do they not tell you the criteria for the maximum you can Like in one day either (or in one week – whatever their criteria is before they cut you off).

They tell you on the ban notice that if you continue this behaviour your account will be closed – but what does that mean – that you can’t add any more friends or Like anyone else’s page at all as it will be classed as continuing the behaviour - or do they mean you can’t carry on adding people or Liking people at the rate you have been doing???  It is one of those things you tend to do in batches as well.  You see someone’s page and Like it but see other pages on their wall that are of interest and you go off to see and then end up Liking them as well - because you were interested enough in the first place to go and see their page so nine times out of ten you may Like that one as well – and then you see another interesting message on their wall as well etc. etc.  The same with friend invites, you tend to do them in batches as well because you see others come up with lots of mutual friends because they are in the same group so you add them as well.  But other times you don’t Like pages or add friends for days (probably weeks when you have been on Facebook for a while).

Does anyone know the standard criteria for how many in what space of time is acceptable because no-one I have ever asked knows the answer.  I have even asked the question on Send In The Troops – which is a great page that runs “Marches” so that everyone who wants to be marched upon (Liked) can add their name and join in the march to Like others.  So everyone who is doing it is happy to Like others and have others Like them – but there is no separate criteria for that to be allowed on Facebook.  So everyone runs the risk of a warning about Liking too many pages.  But no-one seems to know where the stop line is which is silly really as Facebook makes us all walk on a tightrope as to how many we should Like at once.  A lot of the LinkedIn groups have started asking people to add their Facebook name to a list so that we can all Like each others pages but no-one realises that by Liking too many in one go can seriously affect their account on Facebook.

It was recommended that I join Google+ so I have just joined and having no idea it was even similar to Facebook, it showed all these names that are also on there who they picked up from my Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter accounts and it seemed like they were asking me to put them into the Circles on the page – well I started sliding everyone into the Circles and then it froze on me so I though “Ooh Ooh Déjà Vu here”, so I will need to be careful on there too.  I was surprised when I got in as well that it is just like another Facebook but with a difference.  It seems I will have to spend some time on there as well now.  It is never ending, this media stuff once you start.  Every time I write another Blog or add another pendant to my Artfire shop I now have to put it on Facebook (personal and business pages), Twitter, Google+, StumbleUpon, Digg, Pinterest, +1, Kaboodle, and I am just about to join Delicious to be able to add items on there too.  It would be so much easier if I could just click one button and it would get sent to all of them.  As all potential customers use different bookmarking sites though it pays for me to use all of them.

Patience or patient…

PATIENCE is another word for me that I need to learn, although I am extremely PATIENT – can you be both?

What are you?  Are you easy going and laid back or are you stressed all the time?

I am very impatient to get things done but I can be very patient if I am in a queue or waiting for an appointment, or even with other drivers who are impatient and do stupid things.  I suppose it is because I am a very calm, easy-going person and so I take things in my stride that are out of my control but inevitable like queues.  Unless of course the queue is going to make me late for something and then my patience becomes impatience.

But if I want to do something or want something done I need it done yesterday.  I will always get stuck in and do something really thoroughly and don’t want to stop until it is done, which does cause frustration when I hit obstacles that hold me back – like trying to find a Digg code for my blog (well all the other things you need for one as well – but I have just about managed the others now).

I know I have said this before but the considering we all start using these media sites and bookmarking sites so that other people can find us and yet the sites all make it so hard to add the required buttons to the our blogs and websites.  If all I wanted to sit here and write down my feelings I would just make a journal on Word and if I didn’t want to sell my pendants on a website I would just hire a craft stall.  The reason we do it is to get “out there” and let the world know about our products and all the media sites and bookmarking sites want you to use them and yet the most important thing you need to use them, the bloomin’ button to add, is so very hard to find.  It should be the most easy thing on their sites to find.  Having read so many other peoples queries on how to get them as well, I know I am not the only one.  It should be very visible to use at the moment you join these sites, like “thank you for joining and here is the button to add to your websites”.

Anyway I digress again – you can see how frustrating I find that!!!  LOL – you must let me know your thoughts on this and also if you can see my blog is either missing some important buttons or if there is a better way of installing them so they don’t look so messy.  Off I go again – but can’t Blogger just have a automatic row of ALL the buttons for people to use – why on earth would we want to put a blog out there that people couldn’t pass on via their chosen method, be it Digg or facebook if we haven’t made it a private blog???  Ooh there I go again…..

Tomorrow I hope to try to write my own Basic Beginners Guide to Facebook as I couldn’t find anything like that to follow when I started a business page on there so I hope to give the basic knowledge I have learnt since I started on there a couple of months ago, while all the queries I had are still fresh in my mind.
